web maintenance
An up-to-date web page speaks well of the attention to detail that your business is capable of.
Why web maintenance?
1. An updated website speaks highly of your company. Without words, it is saying that your company is organized enough to take care of even a seemingly superfluous thing like its website, and is therefore capable of taking on more business. It says that your company deals with things now, not later. Have you ever chosen or turned down a company based solely on its website? Was the website outdated? Did it have mistakes?
2. Search engines like Google, Yahoo and msn place more merit on sites that are being frequently updated rather than on sites that have been abandoned. They have a way of knowing when the information was changed and exactly what it was, believe me. This means that to maintain and improve a website's ranking with the search engines, maintenance is crucial.
What is web maintenance?
Normally, a 10-page website can take somewhere between one and two hours to update text and photos ($27.50 per hour). Maintenance can be done every so often in preestablished intervals, according to your company's search engine ranking objectives and the importance of such rankings to your company. We generally recommend monthly maintenance.
To make maintenance updates to your web page, we join you in looking through client feedback about your page, and we determine if we should extend certain areas, add photos, highlight certain products or services, eliminate discontinued products, or change focus entirely. We give you a quote in anticipation, so you know from the start how much the project would cost. Then, with your approval we proceed to work on your site.
For users who need to update a web page daily or weekly, we recommend the use of a CMS, or Content Management System, with which you will be able to update your page at your convenience, without the need for programming knowledge or any specialized software. Can you provide maintenance to a site not created by Webmax?
Yes, so long as the existing programming allows for changes. A one-time fee of $55 applies.
